The ex-romantic couple Dennis and Kimberly welcomed their twin child on September 8, 2007. Zoe came into the world at 8:26 a.m. at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica, just two minutes following the birth of her twin brother.

After the birth, Zoe's weight was 5 lbs. 9 oz (2.52 kgs), while her twin brother's weight was 6 lbs. 12 oz (3.06 kgs). During an interview with the People, the happy couple Kimberly and Dennis exclaimed stating:

"God has definitely blessed us."

Zoe Grace Quaid Suffered From Infection Just Three Days After Their Birth

Zoe Grace Quaid and her twin brother, Thomas Boone Quaid, suffered from a severe infection three days after their birth. Well, the thing is that after Zoe and Thomas were brought back home three days after their birth, they suffered from staph infections.

Their parents quickly took them to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a reputed hospital in the city, and did a medical treatment. But during the twin treatment process, they were accidentally given an overdose of the blood thinner heparin. Which nearly cost the twin their life.

During the interview with Los Angles Times, the Blue Miracle actor stated:

"Our kids could have been dying, and we wouldn't have been able to come down to the hospital to say goodbye,"

The twins' overall situation was terrible then; however, due to the experts' help, they could regain their health again.

Know The Present Health Status of The Twins

Both twin children, Zoe and Thomas, are in excellent health. After the successful treatment, they both lead healthy lives with their parents.

During an interview with People in 2018, the A Dog's Journey  actor Dennis talked about his children, stating:

"My favourite time is actually when I'm in the car taking them to school. During breakfast, getting them up, you really get to know them. A lot of bonding goes on in the morning, talking about life."
