Melissa Gorga

Melissa Ann Gorga (March 21, 1979, in Toms River, New Jersey) is an American television star, singer, writer, entrepreneur, and podcast presenter best known for her appearance on Bravo's reality television series The Real Housewives of New Jersey from season three (2011) onward. She is full-blooded Italian and also graduated from New Jersey City University. 

Personal Life 

Melissa is married to Giuseppe "Joe" Gorga, and they have three children: Antonia (born 2005), Giacinto "Gino" (born 2007), and Giuseppe "Joey" (born 2010). 

The family resides in Montville, New Jersey. 

Reality TV Career 

Melissa gained fame as a cast member of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, on which her domestic life, including marrying Joe Gorga (Teresa Giudice's brother and a cast member too), have been primary storylines. She also appeared in spin-offs like The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip (2021) and was a guest star on other Bravo shows.

Music Career 

Melissa went on to try a career in music, releasing various singles like her debut pop-inspired single "On Display" (2011), which speaks about the pressures of fame. She has also released singles "How Many Times," "Rockstar," "I Just Wanna" (feat. Santino Noir), and "Never Let Me Go." 

Melissa released an EP and performed on stage at BravoCon. Despite music industry upheavals and split receptions, she maintained enthusiasm for music and collaborations with other reality TV stars like Porsha Williams and Sonja Morgan. 

Entrepreneurial Ventures 

Apart from television and music, Melissa introduced a jewelry line on HSN (2014) and a clothing boutique named Envy by Melissa Gorga in Montclair, New Jersey. She co-opened a restaurant, Gorga's Homemade Pasta and Pizza (2017), with Teresa Giudice, though it later closed. 

Author 

Melissa authored the book Love, Italian Style: The Secret of My Hot and Happy Marriage in 2013, disclosing her marriage and life with Joe Gorga. 

Podcast Host 

Melissa is the host of the interview and lifestyle podcast On Display, which was inspired by her debut single, released in December 2021. 

Public Image & Media 

Outside of her reality television fame, Melissa has appeared on magazine covers and been photographed for the covers of magazines like Boardwalk Journal, Paper, and Us Weekly. 

She is well known for marrying the classic Italian values with a modern-day way of life based on family and business.

Her musical career had some public setbacks, including criticism for pitch issues during recording sessions on the program, but she maintained a single-minded approach to her musical aspirations.
