How Rich Is The Former Navy Officer?

Jocko Willink's time in the military might be over, but he still has a career thanks to his writing and podcast. His incredible career in multiple fields has helped him to have a net worth of $6 Million which is similar to Samantha Harris.

His wealth is aided by his company Echelon Front which he founded after his time in the Navy. It is a consulting company, and as per the company's official website, he started it to help people with the values and lessons he learned while serving the nation.

Willink is also an author and has written dozens of books till now, with books like Extreme Ownership: How US Navy Seals Lead and Win, even becoming a New York Times best seller. Not only that, but he is also running a successful podcast, and all of these have helped him earn a lot of money.

He joined the University of San Diego in 2000 and was part of it till 2003. Having a degree in Arts is the last thing most people would expect for an Army, but here is Willink, a decorated serviceman having a degree in it.

Willink's Love Story With Hellen Willink

Jocko Willink's married journey with Hellen Willink has been going strong since 1997, and their love story is worth listening to. He first crossed paths with her while he was assigned in Bahrain, but she didn't work with him together. Hellen worked as a flight attendant then.

Willink did not give the best first impression, as his story of the first interaction between the two tells you. He thought doing Jane Erin Carrey's voice would be good, as he revealed while speaking to Chris Williamson. He said:

One of my friends in squad two had said to me, "Oh, there's this two girls." He's like, "I know you are gonna talk to them." And he was kind of a shy guy. And I said, "Oh I'm sure it will work out with you, man. You'll do fine." And sure enough, walked into this bar, saw my future wife, and I just - I walked up to her and I said, in like a Jim Carrey tone, I said, " Should I just call you Aphrodite's Goddess of Love?" And she looked at me like I was an Idiot, which was accurate. And then, you know I bought her a drink and the rest, as they say, is history.

Body Measurements

As much as mental strength is required in the military, the physical is equally, if not more important. Getting into the American Army is no walk in the park, and Jocko Willink was in it for such a long time gives you an idea of his physical strength.

He stands at 5 Feet 10 Inches (177.8 cm) and has a body weight of 230 lbs (104 kg). Since he is no longer in the military, it would be excellent for him just to let go and enjoy anything but the values he obtained in the Army wouldn't let him.

Willink is still a disciplined man as he works hard to keep his body fit, an impressive thing considering he is fifty-one years old at the time of this work. If you scroll through his insta page, you will find him posting about his workout and when he gets up early in the morning.

He has seen life and wants to prepare his kids for the future. He talked about his process of raising his kids while speaking to, The Father Hood as he said:

I try and do the same thing as my dad in so far as trying to make my children self-reliant. I often tell people, “If you’re helping your kids, you’re hurting them.” I don’t mean that in any extreme way – if your kid is doing something dangerous then, of course, you should help them. But if you’re doing everything for your kids and you’re helping them in every aspect of their lives… they’re not really going to learn how to contend with the world for themselves. That’s going to be a problem in the future.

A Brief On His Military Days

Jocko Willink had a military career most people only dream about. The former US Navy Seal officer is regarded highly by his fellowmen, and rightfully so. In his two decades of working in the SEAL, he was vital for the team in numerous instances.

On their official website, his company Echelon Front has mentioned that he was the man everyone would listen to from SEAL Team Three’s Task Unit Bruiser, as the team is respected for what it achieved during the Iraq war.

The former lieutenant commander has been honored with the Silver and Bronze Star and numerous other accolades. Since retiring, he has been occupied with his company Echelon Front, a consulting company to help people improve their lives.

His Father Helped Him Become What He Is Today

Willink is thankful to his parents, who believe they helped him become the man he is today. He is the son of John Willink and Robin Willink. His father, John, worked as a teacher in New England, and he has been Willink's most prominent teacher as well by providing him with amazing life lessons that helped him shape his life.

Per Willink himself, the best advice he ever received from his father was not to quit. Speaking to, The Father Hood, he mentioned that both his parents were the bread earners of the house and that, in a way, helped him to become self-independent. He said:

I think my father was pretty hands-off as far as raising me. He worked a lot and my mom also worked a lot too, so, as kids, we had to be pretty self-reliant. That’s what I remember a lot when I was a kid we had to make stuff happen for ourselves.
